A Message from Mr Stelzer

Week 4 Organisation

School logo

Good Afternoon to all of the Cabramatta Public School families and friends. I hope that this message finds you well.

We have managed to get through our first week of students returning to school very successfully. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces and feel the excitement during the week. I congratulate everyone for supporting the school with the special measures for the return.

We will continue with the same timetable next week and wait for the government to advise us about increasing the days for students at school.

With the lifting of restrictions in the wider community, the government will monitor the effect on the number of cases of COVID 19 before it makes a decision. The next few weeks are very important for us to continue with social distancing.

Just a reminder that our timetable for next week is:

Monday: Kindergarten, Year 1 and 3/6R

Tuesday: Year 2, Year 3 and K/6 Magic

Wednesday: Year 4 and K/6 Rainbow

Thursday: Stage 3 (Years 5 and 6)

The school remains open for the children of parents and carers who are unable to provide supervision for their children.

We are pleased to announce that the canteen WILL BE OPEN next week, except for Friday. The canteen staff will offer a limited menu and accept lunch orders.

If you haven't already done so, look at our school's YouTube channel for some entertaining clips of students working and exercising at home.

Next week, we will present some more Silver and Gold Awards at a virtual assembly which will be posted on Seesaw and the school app. It has been a pleasure to continue to recognise the students who have been awarded with Cabra Keys by their teachers.

Finally, I would like to extend a sincere appreciation to our staff for the great work they have done to keep our school going and to provide learning and resources for our students.

Just as our families have been very patient and worked hard, so too, have our staff. All of this hard work and communication will make our return to normal school life much easier.

I hope that you have a restful weekend, get some exercise and possibly catch up with other families and friends, but not too many at once!

Kindest regards,

Glen Stelzer,

Principal.
