Library

At Cabramatta Public School, our library offers a vibrant and engaging space where students can develop a love of reading and learning. Throughout the year, students participate in exciting activities such as Book Week celebrations, including a Book Character Parade and hosting a Book Fair. We also welcome author and illustrator visits twice a year, providing inspiring opportunities to connect with creative professionals. Students enjoy borrowing from a wide range of up-to-date resources every week, and at lunchtime, they can explore games, puzzles, craft activities, and use computers in the library. Our structured library program includes book studies, exploring different genres, research tasks, and building strong computer and technology capabilities to support learning across the curriculum.

Sydney Writer's Festival, Author Visits and Russ the Bus

A magical celebration of books and storytelling

As part of a Russ the Story Bus visit, students enjoy taking part in an interactive talk presented by a children’s book author or illustrator. The speaker will share their love of books, discuss their craft, answer questions and inspire children to think creatively about reading, writing and storytelling.
